Full History and Story of Ron Shaw and CpapPower.com:

 

Ron Shaw, owner and founder of Cpappower.com discovered the need for a product like this during a minor storm in 2014, which created a power outage at his home, located 30 miles north of Seattle WA. He spent the night trying to sleep sitting upright in his recliner. After 2 hours of "sleep", the stiffness and muscle soreness set in, and by the end of the night, he was in agony. And he spent the next day horribly tired from the lack of quality sleep! Ron's wife, Christy, commented on his grumpiness several times that day! Thankfully the power came back on because, otherwise, Christy was ready for them to spend the next night in a Motel that had power!
 
Afterwards, when Ron went on-line to buy some sort of Battery System to use for his Cpap during Power Outages, he was disappointed in what was available.  Whatever he found was terribly expensive for a battery that only lasted 2 nights ("12 - 14 hours"), and it came with only a 12 month warranty. These batteries available on-line were really lightweight and portable, but that was no real advantage for use at home. Ron wanted something that had more energy reserves for when the power might stay out for multiple days.
 

Ron is not an electrical engineer, but fortunately he knew a guy at church who was! They designed a system for Ron, and then another for Ron's son-in-law, Lee, and that is when the idea struck: "eBAY!"
 

There are Millions of individuals who are dependent on their PAP devices to be able to breathe while sleeping. (That whole "oxygen supply to the brain & heart" thing that our doctors keep harping about!) And Ron set out to provide a safe and secure, reasonably priced, alternative power source for people when unexpected outages occur. (As they do everywhere).  BUT after selling these on eBAY for several months, Ron quickly discovered from his new customers that Most people were buying them TO GO CAMPING! Suddenly people wanted a unit that would last beyond the 4 to 8 nights of his first system. So, with research and testing, the creation of several bigger systems began.  In 2019 Ron started the switch over from SLA (Sealed Lead Acid) Batteries to the newer Lithium Ion models.   We are now offering the 3rd Generation of Lithium Batteries known as "Lithium Iron Phosphate" (LiFePO4).  And the warranty has jumped up to 10 years for some of them!

 

For our new expansion into supplying ALASKA customers, we are starting off with offering our 2 most popular selling units. Our TOP SELLER is especially for Camping or Power Outages at home.  It will supply power to run most cpaps for 11 to 15 NIGHTS on each recharge* (conditions apply, read below).  AND our latest development is an Un-interruptible Power Supply type battery system that operates 24/7 to ensure that you will NEVER wake up gasping for air because the power shut off. Your PAP Device keeps running without missing a breath as your optional “SET IT & FORGET IT” battery system UPGRADE provides constant power. 

 

Our OTHER HOT SELLER is for taking onto a Commercial Airplane, with full FAA and TSA Approval.  It will power a cpap for 2 to 3 nights* on each recharge.  It is very compact and weighs a smidge over 3 lbs.
